MR CTL Release
In light of measures in place to combat the spread of Covid-19, the North Dakota State High School Clay Target Leauge (ND CTL) 2020 Spring Season remains in flux, but for the time being, still a possibility in May or June of this year depending on developments with the disease. With social distancing guidelines issued by both state and federal governments and the CDC in place until Apr. 30, the MR CTL board and head coaches have taken a “Wait and See” approach to this season.
“Some sort of shortened season, or ‘shoot as you can’ system might be possible in May and June, and we hope to leave that option open to our participants who want it while respecting social distancing guidelines,” said MR CTL VP Nick Simonson, “however, we recognize the gravity of the situation and the timing issues for many, and understand if they want a refund and are providing that option to not participate this season and get their money back,” he concluded.
The MR CTL Board of Directors will keep participants updated on the evolving status of the season or of complete cancellation in the future, if that is the only option for the 2020 Spring League as the nation, state and Bis-Man area does what it can to flatten the curve and prevent transmission of Covid-19.
Refunds for the 2020 Spring League can be obtained at https://form.jotform.com/200928443669161.
Through May 20, a refund of the $250 MR CTL Fees will be issued to participants requesting one, and they will be removed from the spring rosters. All refund requests and roster removals are permanent and final for Spring 2020, but will not impact a shooter’s ability or preference to register for subsequent seasons with MR CTL and its teams.
To qualify for a refund of the $35 ND CTL Fees, the request must be made by Apr. 12. After Apr. 12, the state system will be locked and regardless of whether or not the spring season comes to be, shooters will receive a USA CTL shirt and four issues of PullUSA Magazine, but they will not receive their $35 ND CTL Fees back. “It is important that everyone do what they can to stay healthy and respect the guidelines in place or those orders that come to be for the safety of our communities and state; MR CTL will work toward those ends above all else,” Simonson added, “there will be time to shoot in the future, when we can all be together again, whether it’s later this spring or next fall,” he concluded.
